Alternative Ways to Access Microsoft Teams
While the recommended method for accessing Microsoft Teams Class Meetings is through the Blackboard – Microsoft Teams LTI, you can access any and all events through the browser, or the Microsoft Teams Apps (Desktop or Smartphones).
Microsoft Teams App
- Launch the Microsoft Teams and click on the Calendar icon, you will see any events you have scheduled that day.
2. Click on the event you are attending, and press join.
3. Complete the meeting pre-check where you can turn on/off your camera, audio, and background filters. Click on Join now.
Join from Browser
Notes: Chrome is recommended for Team Meetings
- Click on the event and copy the url for the meeting.
2. Copy and paste (CTRL+V or CMD+V) into a browser, and select “Continue on this browser”
3. Allow your browser to access your webcam and microphone.
4. Pass the pre-check and turn on/off your camera and microphone then click on Join now.
iOS and Android App
- Download Microsoft Teams on the iOS or Android App store. Find the app on your smartphone or tablet.
2. Access the Calendar Tab and click on the meeting you want to join.
3. Inside the Meeting Details, click on Join.
4. Complete the meeting pre-check and turn on/off your microphone and camera.
