You may be new to online education. Learning online is a productive and effective way to enhance your learning experience. Here are some tips to keep in mind:

Get familiar with the course design.

Read the Instructor's announcements, the entire course syllabus and any additional notes to get you acquainted with the course. Explore the course layout and course sections.

Check your Blackboard courses everyday.

Discussion Board forums can get very lengthy. It can be difficult to catch up if you do not login to the system regularly.

Actively participate in group projects and discussion boards.

Have access to a computer with internet.

If Blackboard is a component of your course, be certain you have reliable access to a computer with internet whether it is your personal computer, school computer lab, or a workplace computer.

Be able to effectively communicate through writing.

Written communication is a large component of online learning. Be able to communicate your views, while being appropriate and respectful to others.

Make the most of your online learning experience.

As an online learner, you will have online exercises, Discussion Boards, digital assignments, etc. To get the most out of your course, thoroughly interact with your classmates and apply what you learn.
