Useful in journalism and advertising, but helpful in any field in which current events can be analyzed, evaluated, and be relevant to the class' subject matter.

Goals & Objectives

Identify how the activity aligns with student learning objectives (SLOs).

Depending on the field, usually the goal is to have students reflect on current issues in a field and critically analyze them. Blogs can also be used for journaling, as reflection activities, and identify recent learning, organize their thoughts, and reinforce or deconstruct what they have been taught.
