Drill and Practice
Activity
Drill and practice is a behaviorist aligned technique in which students are given the same materials repeatedly until mastery is achieved. In each iteration, students are given similar questions and activities to perform, with a certain percentage of correct responses or actions required before moving on to the next level of difficulty.
Appropriate Content Areas
Kinesthetics, Coaching, Music, Mathematics, Language, Typing, and Biological Sciences. It is not as commonly used in adult education.
Goals & Objectives
Identify how the activity aligns with student learning objectives (SLOs).
They can be used to build confidence. They also help reinforce important materials. It also allows the students to practice critical skills and apply their knowledge.
